Dear Chamber Members, 

The privilege is mine today to share with you the dawning of a new chapter as Your Voice of Business. As was communicated in the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting in March 2023, the Board in seeking to strengthen the organization, explored the opportunity of separating into the original two organizations, a Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association to accomplish our mandate more effectively. A working group was established, and the tourism & hospitality sector welcomed the prospect for greater representation through a more focused group. The BVI Yachting, Hotel & Tourism Association (BVIYHTA) was subsequently launched in May 2023. Read the press release for more details at https://business.bviccha.org/news/.  

Now it is time for us to rebrand the BVICCHA and enter the next phase of its 54-year journey. The new BVI Chamber of Commerce brand will be revealed on 22nd August 2023, and on behalf of the Board, I would like to extend a special invitation to all our members and partners to join us at the brand launch event at the BVI Finance conference room at 3pm and the Open House during the remainder of the week. We are recommitting to our mandate to advocate for policy, regulations and procedures that facilitate a business-friendly environment, coordinate business training to equip business owners, and organize local and regional networking opportunities to expand trade. Our wholehearted pledge is to enhance support to the micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) as the backbone of the economy and the most important stakeholder in our country’s development. As always, I would like to take a moment and applaud the courageous spirit of you as business leaders and look forward to your continued support as the Chamber keeps growing from strength to strength.
