BVI Chamber of Commerce

New Business Resource for Business Owners

To support new business owners in navigating legal requirements, the BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association (BVICCHA), has developed a new resource tool called the BVI Business Blueprint Start-up Kit with information about company incorporation, payroll tax, social security, national health insurance and pension plans. This initiative was created in collaboration with the Junior Minister for Trade and Economic Development, Hon. Shereen Flax-Charles, and the goal is to help foster compliance with key business regulations from the start-up stage.

Mrs. Shaina Smith-Archer, Chairman of the BVICCHA Board shared that “We are pleased to provide this guide as it aligns with the BVICCHA’s mission to provide resources to business owners that will enable them to be successful in doing business. And when businesses succeed, they provide more jobs and tax revenue in the economy.”

The kits are available FREE to any business owner or person interested in starting a business at the cashier desk of the Trade Department and can also be accessed at the BVICCHA’s website at www.bviccha.org under the Resources page.

The BVICCHA is a non-government, not-for profit organization that has been the voice of business for over 50 years and supporting businesses with advocacy on business legislation and regulations, training resources, and networking events.
