Industry Focus Group Discussion (Accommodation) - Education Labour Connect
Stakeholders in the Education Labour Connect Initiative request your participation in a focus group discussion focused around identifying skill needs in the territory and the current issues around ensuring the availability of staff with appropriate skills to meet the needs of businesses.
A focus group is an interactive research tool where participants engage on topics as guided by a moderator. The session is expected to take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The information will be used to inform decisions on processes and the development of training activities. The sessions will be conducted in an online format.
Suitable attendees would be persons involved in the overall direction of the organization or persons involved in recruitment, selection and operational activities.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture started an initiative earlier this year aimed at ensuring that appropriate information is gathered from education and industry so that relevant stakeholders can make informed decisions about hiring, training and related activities. Known as Education Labour Connect, the key stakeholders are the BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association, HLSCC, the Ministry and Department of Labour and Workforce Planning, the Central Statistics Office and the host Ministry.
